clarks  > Hobbies > Craft Room
Photos of my very own craft space. When I work at the center table, I have everything at my fingertips. On the table top I have all my basics, stamps and inks are directly behind me, just a swivel away. Adhesive, rulers, everything I need is just right there! It's awesome!

clarks > My room during construction. It was a long wait, but we finally, finally saw our house come to completion and we moved in. 3 months later, my craft room was filled with my stuff. :-)
clarks > All cabinets, counter tops, tables, shelves are from Ikea. I used Akrum, Expedit, Liatorp, Stenstorp, Bygel and more. Long work counter. I usually put my large rotary paper cutter here while I work at my table. Ink is easily accessible. The little spice rack holds my brads and eyelets. The drawers underneath hold adhesive, basic tools like rulers and sponges. The two large drawers hold all my stamps with a little bit of room left over.
clarks > Ink pad storage - Purchased from OrganizeMore.com. I love that every color is within finger tip reach.
clarks > Punch Storage - wall mounted kitchen rails from Ikea.
clarks > A view from my printer. Double doors are closet holding my paper, unorganized to-date. The table in the middle is my main workspace. Notice the leg space on this side (wait 'til you see the other side!). The spinning tool caddy from Pampered Chef holds all of my "every project" supplies - scissors, glue, tape, Crop-A-Dile, heat gun, journaling pens, bone folder, Crystal Effects, adhesive magnet to hold a straight pin to unclog the Crystal Effects, even chap stick for me. The tall book shelves hold jars tiered on wire pantry shelves for cans. The large jars have flowers, buttons, tags, metal accents, clips, etc. The small jars underneath them (next to the yellow bird) hold all of my alphabet embellishments sorted by letter - chipboard, brads, beads, etc. The small jars underneath that contain miscellaneous small embellishments - grommets, larger shaped brads, hodgepodge hardware, etc. The wooden, two-drawer box organizes my cards - cards on the left, envelopes on the right. The top shelf has all of my background stamps. The bottom two shelves have notebooks with page protectors holding all of my stickers and rub-ons, magazine files with old catalogs, idea magazines, and other craft books. The alphabet board on the wall is from a chipboard class I taught - 26 different techniques for covering chipboard. The tall stand on the table is a wreath holder from Target holding rings, each containing a color group of ribbon on tags purchased at ribbonring.com. The short shelves underneath the punch rails are Expedit shelves from Ikea which fit 12x12 scrapbooks perfectly!
clarks > View from my door - Large work table in center, candle "mobile" hanging in corner. Ribbon valance made by cutting lengths of ribbon and tying them to a very cheap curtain rod. Under the window is a rolling filing drawer set (ikea) for bill-paying files. On top are the files that we access frequently. Atop the counter next to the window is a vertical file holder with my current Stampin' Up! catalog, paid bills to be filed, a "read this when you get a chance" slot, and notebooks for quick jot downs. Next to that is a bill sorter with a deposit slot, receipt slot, outgoing mail slot, and to-be-paid bill slot. The drawers to the left of the chair contain general office supplies - pens, pencils, checkbook, stapler, address labels, general envelopes, etc. The cabinet above that contains my stash for impromptu kid entertainment - new coloring books, special games, rewards for super-good behavior, etc. The horizontal cabinet holds my homeschool preparation for the current week and library books. The next cabinet is currently unassigned and empty.
clarks > View from the window - Here you begin to see the other side of my work table, but you'll get a better look later. We've skipped the corner, upper-cabinet, but it's empty except for my iron currently (oh, and a secret jar of M&Ms). It may hold kid crafts after I unpack that box. The first cabinet on the left is double and holds all of my Sizzix dies in a rectangular basket from Hobby Lobby, as well as all of the cutting plates and extra-large dies on the top shelf. The bottom shelf contains my jars of glitter and embossing powder, currently unorganized. I'm in the market for another spice rack. The middle double-cabinet holds my small collection of acrylic stamps in CD cases and the handful of loose wooden stamps. The top shelf holds my box of acrylic paint for other crafts, high out of reach of the children. The far right double-cabinet contains stamp sets I'm willing to sell or trade and boxes of photos. Another photo will describe what belongs in the drawers in this photo.
clarks > The other side of my work table (Ikea - Stenstorp kitchen island) has shelves just perfect for stowing my large tools ready for use. The large rotary cutter, Big Shot machine, circle cutter with glass mat, pad of grid paper, Creative Memories cutting system (borrowed from my mother-in-law) and Xyron sticker maker. Small accessories for these machines and tools go in the little wooden kitchen caddy (ikea) including a ribbon iron. I love it!! Easily accessible, yet out of sight and work space.
clarks > A close up of my fun jars from Ikea. The small jars will get labels for each letter. I've made them, but must attach.
